Reading a chapter: detailed and concise
Every chapter is written twice. Detailed is for first study, concise is for revision, and the toggle at the top of the page switches between them.

The detailed rendering is the full treatment, for the first time you study a topic. The concise rendering covers the same ground, compressed for revision — it is not a summary bolted on afterwards, but written from the same plan, so nothing examinable is dropped.
All 185 published chapters have both. That is why the platform reports 370 published versions against 185 chapters.
Chapters are not plain prose. They are built from blocks, and the ones you will meet most are comparison tables — the shape BPSC examines repeatedly — along with timelines, callouts, and an exam key that states what the examiner actually asks about the topic.
Around half the Prelims syllabus is Bihar-specific, so chapters carry a Bihar focus marker where the material is regional rather than national.
A factual error in a chapter is a content problem. It gets corrected in the chapter and republished as a new version, rather than patched in the website. The article on reporting a problem explains what to include.
