Past questions and practice questions
Past questions are real BPSC questions shown with their paper and number. Practice questions are written for this platform. Answers work differently for each.
Two different things appear at the end of a chapter, and they are deliberately not mixed together.
Past questions are questions the commission has actually asked, shown with the paper and question number they came from. There are 1,333 live, drawn from nine analysed Prelims papers.
A further 17 are recorded but never shown to you. The commission withdrew them after the exam, usually because the question was faulty. They are kept rather than deleted so the record of what was asked stays honest.
Answers are not shown beside a past question. This is not the page hiding them: the database read that serves past questions returns no answer column at all, so there is nothing for a page to reveal. Where answers are shown is a mock attempt, after you have submitted it.
Practice questions are multiple-choice questions written for this platform, and 1,667 are validated and published. Another 115 exist and are not shown — 93 were retired and 8 rejected on review, and 14 are still in draft. An unproven question is never put in front of you.
